1 Part 1: Group 1 — Stem-Changing "Boot" Verbs (E➔IE & O➔UE)
Why are they called "Boot" Verbs?
In Spanish, certain verbs change their stem vowel when conjugated. However, this stem-change happens ONLY for yo, tú, él/ella, ellos/ellas. It NEVER changes for NOSOTROS or VOSOTROS! If you draw a outline around the changing subjects on a conjugation grid, it looks like a boot! 🥾

What is a "Yo-GO" Verb?
These verbs are irregular only for YO (ending in -go), but for tú, él, nosotros, ellos they follow their standard regular (or stem-changing) endings. Notice that some verbs (like tener, venir, decir) are a combination of a Yo-GO and a Stem-changer!
